Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi and our representative will greet you and escort you to the hotel. Delhi, with the distinction of being one of the oldest cities in the world has a unique charm that beckons every traveller to explore this quintessential Indian city. Soak in the flavour of this metropolis that has architectural monuments co-existing with modern buildings. Shopping at high street and snacking on heavenly street food is a great experience in itself.

Day 2: Delhi – Varanasi

In the morning, leave for a full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi. Delhi offers interesting sightseeing options that includes Qutab Minar, Jama Masjid, Himayun Tomb, Red Fort, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Raj Ghat, Parliament, Rashtrapati Bhavan and some quaint parts of Delhi. In the evening, transfer to New Delhi railway station for boarding train to Varanasi.

Day 3: Reach Varanasi

Reach Varanasi in the morning. You will be transferred to your hotel where you can spend some time relaxing. In the afternoon, set out on a half day-guided tour to Varanasithat covers the most prominent Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Gyanvapi Mosque and Benaras Hindu University. In the evening attend ‘aarti’ at the Ghats and experience the spiritual effect. Night stay in Varanasi.

Varanasi, the religious capital of Hinduism gets its name from the fact that it is at the confluence of the rivers ‘varuna’ and ‘asi’. It was previously known as ‘Kashi’. Its sunrise is a truly spiritually uplifting sight. The temples and the labyrinthine paths leading to them attract several tourists. Varanasi is known for carpet manufacturing and offers tremendous choices to the interested buyer.

Day 4: Varanasi

Very early morning make your way to Daswamedh Ghat where you take a boat to see the cremation Ghats and witness the living traditions of one of the world's oldest and most important religions. (Start at 0500 hrs. to see the sunrise). We will transfer you to the banks of the sacred River Ganges before sunrise so that you can take a boat and see the sunrise unfold before you from the middle of the river as well as see temples and palaces rise from the water's edge. You can see thousands of devotees coming to bathe in the river and offering homage to the sun. Return for a walk through the streets as the din begins, shops open and the devotees come and go. Return to the hotel for a sumptuous breakfast.

Go out on a day’s excursion to Sarnath, 5 miles from Varanasi. Sarnath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world. Buddha preached his first Sermon here in 590 BC. The ruins of this Buddhist monastery are worth exploring. The Museum can be visited for its excellent collection of Buddhist art and sculptures found at the site. Stay overnight at the Varanasi hotel.

Day 5: Varanasi – Khajuraho

In the morning, checkout from the hotel and proceed to the airport to board a flight to Khajuraho. Reach Khajuraho and get transferred to the hotel. Spend a relaxed afternoon and in the evening attend the very enlightening ‘Sound & Light’ Show that makes the entire history of the city come alive. Stay overnight at the Khajuraho hotel.

Day 6: Khajuraho

Today after breakfast set out to explore the Khajuraho Temples which are divided into Western and Eastern temples. You will be accompanied by a guide who would inform you about the intricate meanings of the figurines, motifs and formations as well as recount legends behind each sculpture. Stay overnight at the Khajuraho hotel.

The legendary temples of Khajuraho are now a world heritage site. Among the rare artistic wonders of the world, these temples are dedicated to the Hindu pantheon of Gods and are covered in carvings that are a celebration of life and love. Khajuraho sculptures are famous for their sensual appeal. Built over a hundred years by the Chandela Rajputs, the 10th century temples lay abandoned until they were discovered in the present century. Arrive Khajuraho and transfer to hotel.

Day 7: Khajuraho – Orchha - Agra

In the morning, after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to the nearby town Orchha. Orchha is a historical site with magnificent temples and monuments. Take a walk in the heritage area of Orchha and visit the Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal and Laxminarayan Temple. Palaces decorated with painted murals represent the finest works from the Bundela School of painting. After this insightful tour, proceed to board a train to Agra. Reach Agra and check into your hotel. Stay overnight at Agra hotel.

Agra is famous for being home to one of the seven Wonders of the World - Taj Mahal, whose legend is as remarkable as the architectural splendour. The mausoleum and other elements in it, magnificent forts and the palaces speak of the flourishing era of Mughal art and architecture in the 16th and early 17th centuries.

Day 8: Agra – Jaipur

In the morning, visit the world famous Taj Mahal. It was built in 1630 by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Also visit the Agra Fort which houses Pearl Mosque, Halls of Public and Private Audience and other buildings which tell of royal conduct and customs during Akbar’s rule. Later in the day, drive to Jaipur en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri and Itmad-ul-Daulah's Tomb. Do not miss Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza, Palace of Queen Jodha Bai, Birbal's (a Minister) Palace whose architectural nuances, importance and stories associated with them transport you into another era. Drive further and reach Jaipur in the evening where you check into a hotel and relax. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Jaipur was founded by Sawai Jaisingh in AD 1727. It is the capital of Rajasthan and is popularly called the ‘Pink City’. Boasting of a strong historical and cultural importance, its magnificent forts and palaces, blushed pink, offer several insights into the times when the maharajas lived. The bustling bazaars of Jaipur, which sell Rajasthani jewellery and handicrafts, ethnic fabric and footwear, offer a treasure-trove of goods to the shoppers. This fascinating city has possibly everything to offer a feel of royalty and tradition.

Day 9: Jaipur

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards set out on a half-day sightseeing tour of the city. This includes going up the hilltop fortress at Amer. For a royal experience, ascend the imposing fort on a painted elephant. The Fort built in the 16th century by Maharaja Man Singh encloses palaces and a temple in marble dedicated to the goddess Kali. In the afternoon, see the most prominent places in the old walled city of Jaipur - the unique Jantar Mantar Observatory of the 1700's (A.D), whose futuristic aspect cannot be missed, Hawa Mahal (the palace of winds) and old City Palace, The attached museum is a rare fusion of Mughal and Hindu architecture, and is the best place to see Rajathani paintings, Rajasthani armory and costumes. Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, the city’s construction is along the lines of the Shilpa-Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Jaipur – Delhi

In the morning after breakfast drive down to Delhi to board a flight for your final destination. Your tour comes to an end here but we hope the colors of India, its historicity and warmth touches your heart to make it a memorable trip.
